Meet the speakers:

Anna Kinder—Copywriter + Polymer Clay Artist

If creativity were a literal juice, Anna Kinder’s brain would be the juicer. A seasoned copywriter with a knack for making unexpected connections between apples and oranges, Anna thrives in collaborative brainstorm sessions and is able to crank out fresh concepts that engage, educate and inspire. She’s also an eagle-eyed editor, but don’t get it twisted: She’s a grammar nerd — NOT a grammar snob. Before discovering copywriting and copy editing, she taught high school English and creative writing for five years and then dabbled in technical writing for a year and a half. Lately, she’s become obsessed with all things UX, harnessing the “education” side of her English education degree to convert clunky or complex info into accessible, skimmable content. In her free time, she enjoys writing articles for EdibleOKC magazine and sculpting polymer clay art/accessories, which she sells in her Etsy shop and local boutiques.

Emily Madden—Upholstery Designer

Emily Madden is a fiercely ambitious, self-taught upholsterer, and the owner of Thready or Knot Upholstery and Design. Throughout her practice as a businesswoman and artist, she has cultivated and maintained an unwavering passion for texture, color, and form. Emily transforms the ordinary into the extraordinary, breathing new life into forgotten furniture by blending the worlds of past, present, and future into her restoration projects.

Logan Walcher—Videographer

With 18 years of experience in the industry, Logan has honed his capabilities to a high degree and works on projects that push the boundaries of what's possible. The foundation of his skills are derived from the University of Central Oklahoma with a BFA in graphic design and minors in advertising and illustration. He went on to spend a decade working in the agency world at the likes of Ackerman McQueen, Saxum and Liquidfish. But that was just the beginning, Logan ultimately decided to bet on himself and start his own business in 2022, Proxima Bear Productions, with a focus on film, photography and design. Since then, he has worked on over 6 feature films, multiple web series, documentaries, and countless other projects, leaving his mark on the entertainment and commercial industry. He's known for his unique approach and the ability to bring any concept to life with attention to detail.

Thumỹ Phan—Illustrator + Muralist

Phan is a Vietnam born illustrator, artist, muralist and designer currently based in Oklahoma City. She strives to tell stories with her work, with a big focus on BIPOC stories. Her personal work is heavily influenced by her family’s history and her own childhood memories and experiences of growing up in the US as a Vietnamese immigrant and permanent resident raised in OKC. She draws inspiration from the phrase "We are the fruits of our mother's labor," both in reference to her mother and her mother land, Vietnam, and often uses imagery of fruits and flora taking root in her personal work to highlight those words. Through her art, she hopes to challenge the passive stereotype thrown upon AANHPI women and reshape how society sees them.
